Spotlight Event: Demystifying Finance For Actors
✨The event on Wednesday 28 February 2024 was an exciting one!
We were excited to announce that in partnership with Spotlight, the home for performers and casting, The Engagement Appeal – TEA, as part of our Art and the City program, would be speaking with Spotlight’s members about essential personal finance topics for artists and overall. We touched on contracts, getting paid, paying taxes, and investing for their future.
The event was led by TEA Advisers, Karin Schulte, an experienced investment professional, adviser, supporter of the Arts, governance, and education, and Mildred Yuan, Talent Agent and DE&I expert; Emmeline Armitage, musician, recording artist, and TEA’s Inaugural Artist Ambassador; and Joanna Dare, Partner at Blinkhorns Accountants, specializing in dealing with production companies, models, artists, and authors.
It was an incredible opportunity for us to empower performers and artists with the financial and investing resources they needed to thrive both personally and professionally.
